Agricultural Debate

Should we have continued to develop farming like it is today or kept it the way it was? I know and have heard of the vast amounts of waste from the results of agriculture today. In 2010 there was about 133 billion pounds and $161 billion dollars of food wasted. That was in just one year!

Today we have developed agriculture to the point were we have a major surplus in food. That means there was needless killings for meat. Back when farming had just began, people survived off of what they needed. They only killed animals when necessary and harvested to feed their families.

Originally all they did was hunt and gather. They did that for about 12,000 years, eventually, the land and game became less plentiful. That is when farming came to be. The question still remains? Have we developed to far or should we continue to develop, Agriculturally? Humans seem to continue to develop no matter the circumstance, so in my opinion, we will continue to grow, grow some more, and keep growing.
